These factors tell how the internal organs and systems are functioning. You compare the findings with the normal, one-by-one. You also carefully consider the relationship between them, their overall pattern, and how they fit with other examination findings.

THE DEGREE OF DANGER DEPENDS ON THE TOTAL EQUATION AND OTHER HEALTH FACTORS.   A PERSON MAY BE IN THE "FATAL ZONE" YET SURVIVE IF THE OTHER NUMBERS HAVE A REASONABLE PATTERN. THE REVERSE IS ALSO TRUE.

THE COMBINED SUGARS

Normal is 1.5.   The pancreas, liver and hormonal system are involved in sugar metabolism.   Malfunction of these organs will be reflected in this test.  When considered together with salts and urine nitrates, it has an important bearing on heart conditions.  Sugar is a measure of available energy.

High Sugar: 2 to 3 is the "zone of misery".  The liver flushes glucose into the system and may result in light-headedness, tired and weak hands and feet, bloating, urinary problems and the "blahs".  3.1 to 4.5 is the fatigue zone and border-line diabetes.  4.6 to 6 is the headache diabetic zone.  6.1 to 7.5 the coma zone.  7.6 and up is the fatal zone.

Low Sugar: 1.4 to 0.7 is considered the "danger zone", with marked hypoglycemic tendencies.  0.6 to 0.3 is the "coma zone" with fainting and convulsions.  0.3 to 0.0 is the "fatal zone."

* THE WHOLE KERNEL, BOOK I, BY EDE KOENIG, D.SC., "SYNOPSIS OF FOOD ELEMENTS," PAGES 71 - 86, GIVES DATA ON ALL THE MINERALS AND VITAMINS YOUR BODY NEEDS, THE FOODS THEY ARE FOUND IN, THE HERBS THEY ARE FOUND IN AND HOW TO RECOGNIZE:,YOUR DEFICIENCIES AND TOXICITIES.  IN THE BIO-EQUILIBRIUM TEST YOU WILL FIND CERTAIN-^ CONDITIONS WHERE THE BODY CANNOT UTILIZE VITAMIN AND MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS.   YOU WOOLD BE WASTING YOUR MONEY TO BUY THE SUPPLEMENTS THAT ARE ON THE MARKET TODAY, BUT IF YOU USE THE WHOLE FOOD AND THE WHOLE HERBS YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UTILIZE AND ASSIMILATE THEM, HOWEVER, NOT COMPLETELY UNTIL THE CONDITION IS CORRECTED, BUT YOU WILL UTILIZE AND ASSIMILATE MOST OF THE ELEMENTS IF YOU LEAVE THE FOOD AND HERBS IN THEIR WHOLE STATE.   FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE URINE PH IS ACID THE BODY CANNOT UTILIZE VITAMIN C SUPPLEMENTS. ON PAGE 85 (THE WHOLE KERNEL,' BOOK I) YOU WILL FIND THE WHOLE FOOD AND WHOLE HERBS THAT ARE HIGHEST IN VITAMIN C. IN ADDITION TO CAPSICUM, THE WHOLE HERBS THAT ARE HIGHEST IN VITAMIN C ARE ROSE HIPS, ACEROLA CHERRY, JUNIPER BERRIES, ALOE VERA, PARSLEY, HAWTHORNE BERRIES AND DANDELION.

URINE pH

Urine pH is related to blood pH (normal blood pH is 7.4) and indicates the rate of digestion and absorption.   When urine pH is outside the normal 6.4, the liver is functioning poorly, and there may be intestinal parasites (especially when alkaline.)  The left lung- and left side of the body are involved when the urine pH is abnormal.

Alkaline Urine pH:  Above 6.4 there is constipation, slow digestion, stomach gas, auto-intoxication, gall bladder stress and energy loss.   Above 7.0 diarrhea and acute indigestion may occur.  Hemorrhoids are associated with alkaline pH plus high salts.

Diarrhea and constipation can occur at the same time.   Waste material plasters itself to the intestinal wall preventing proper resorption of moisture. The excess water then passes through, creating a constipation-diarrhea combination. High urea readings may also result from alkaline urine.

Acid Urine pH: Below 6.4 the liver is toxic and weak and cannot function well. The bile is weak.   There is loss of energy, increased oxygen requirements, too rapid digestion and possible diarrhea.   The kidneys become lazy and there may be bone problems and arthritis.   There is a tendency toward arthrosclerosis, collagen diseases and tension in the neck and shoulders.

The body cannot utilize Vitamin C *(See page 85 in Book I, The Whole Kernel), and hypo-vitamin C stress syndrome may occur with emphysema, nervousness, weakness and generalized distress.

Low urine pH affects the reproductive system causing diminished sex drive. There is also a tendency toward urethra and bladder inflammation, sinusitis, colitis and diverticulosis.

SALIVA pH

Saliva pH represents the approximate pH of the liver bile (not the concentrated bile in the gall bladder) and is intimately related to liver function.  Abnormal saliva pH means poor oxygen assimilation which is a liver function.   The right lung and right side of the body are affected.

Alkaline Saliva pH:  Above 6.4 digestion slows down. There is auto-intoxication and resorption of toxins from the intestines. Oxygen assimilation is poor and bronchial and lung problems common.  The upper parts of the lung are particularly affected. Vitamin A is not utilized properly *(See page 84 in Book I, The Whole Kernel), and at 7 or higher the spleen is affected and anemia common.   The herbs highest in Vitamin A are alfalfa, blessed thistle, capsicum, fenugreek, parsley, red raspberry, passion flower, ginseng, rose hips, chaparral and slippery elm.

Acid Saliva pH: Below 6.4, emphysema is common. Acid saliva pH affects the lower part of the lungs, digestion is speeded up and energy is lost. This leads to autointoxication and high ureas.

SALTS — Normal 6-7 C (600-700)

Combined tissue salts are closely related to the heart and the blood vascular system.  Adrenal exhaustion is linked to abnormal sagas and salt readings.

High Salt readings, above 7C, when combined with high urea readings indicate a high level of tissue salt retention.  High tissue salt retention indicates high cardiac stress, tension in the chest and chest pains as well as collagen tissue breakdown... (connective tissue, bone, tendons, cartilage, skin).  Arthrosclerosis, high cholesterol, demineralization and muscle pain are common.  10C - Cholesterol build-up, hemorrhoids, varicosities, arteriosclerosis.    12C - smooth muscle affected, loss of tone in cecum and rectum. 15C - chest pains, minor heart attack zone.  17C - heart flutter, major heart attack zone.  20C - danger zone, possible fatal heart attack.

Low Salt, below 6C, is a very uncommon finding and may be due to high fluid intake.

ALBUMIN - Normal .04M (cellular debris)

This is a measure of metabolism in the balance between the body's bonding up processes and its tearing down processes.  It indicates the body's ability to get rid of waste products as well.  High numbers indicate inflammation of the urinary system and certain types of kidney disease.   It is also related to hormonal function.

UREAS (Nitrate Nitrogen and Ammoniacal Nitrogen)

These factors reflect blood, viscosity (how thick or thin the blood is) and the efficiency of protein digestion.   High ureas put stress on the heart and blood vessels. The top number, nitrate nitrogen, affects the left side of the heart. The bottom number, ammoniacal nitrate, represents the right side of the heart.

When the combined urea numbers total 15-19 you are in the minor heart attack zone; 20 - 24 is the major heart attack zone; 25+ is the fatal heart attack zone.

High ureas and high salts can be a result of too rapid digestion, which is often caused by acid urine pH.

Nitrate Nitrogen: Normal 3.0.  Nitrate nitrogen relates to digestion in the small intestine. High numbers indicate an excess of amino acids with stress on the liver, pancreas, heart and kidneys.   Oxygen requirements increase with high nitrate nitrogen numbers.   If nitrate nitrogen numbers are high along with ammoniacal nitrogen, plus high salts, the heart is under severe stress.

Protein digestion relies on proper pancreatic function, which relies on proper liver function.   If liver function is weak, many proteins are broken down incompletely, causing a build-up of unwanted amino acids.   These accumulate in the blood and tissue and interfere with proper tissue metabolism and oxygenation. This especially affects the heart muscle.

Ammoniacal Nitrogen: Normal 3.0 as above.  This reflects biochemical processes in the large intestine.   When protein digestion is slow or abnormal, excess protein remains in the bowels.   The large bowel leaves improperly digested proteins to ferment and putrefy, producing toxins.  These toxins are absorbed and enter the blood and  lymph systems. They change the relative acidity o£ the body's tissues and interfere with proper metabolism and tissue oxygenation.   The ammoniacal nitrogen also affects the cardio-vascular integrity.

Absorption of toxins from the colon will place stress on the -liver.  Proper food combinations help control ammoniacal nitrogen.  See pages 29 - 39 in Book II, The Whole Kernel.
